Autonify — accounting and compliance software Last updated: 2 August 2026 · Version 1.1

1. Who we are

Autonify is operated by APEX SYSTEMS EOOD (ЕЙПЕКС СИСТЪМС ЕООД), UIC 208560191, registered at 4 Yuriy Venelin St., entrance B, office 2, Varna 9028, Bulgaria (ул. „Юрий Венелин“ № 4, вх. Б, ап. Офис 2, гр. Варна 9028) ("Autonify", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using Autonify, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Autonify is

Autonify is software that helps businesses automate bookkeeping: importing bank transactions, categorising invoices and expenses, matching transactions to invoices, and producing reports to support accounting and tax compliance in Bulgaria.

Autonify is a software tool, not an accountant and not a tax adviser.

We do not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. Autonify's categorisations, suggestions, and reports are automated outputs and may be incomplete or incorrect. You remain fully and solely responsible for the accuracy of your accounting records and for all filings you submit to the National Revenue Agency (НАП) or any other authority. We strongly recommend that a qualified accountant reviews your records before you file.

3. Eligibility

Autonify is provided to businesses and self-employed persons, not to consumers. You must be authorised to act on behalf of the business whose data you connect, and at least 18 years old.

4. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must give us accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us immediately at support@autonify.bg if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Connecting your bank account

Autonify lets you connect your business bank accounts to import transactions automatically. You should understand the following before connecting.

  • This connection is read-only. Over it, Autonify can read account details, balances, and transactions. No payment order is submitted over it and no change is made to your account. Payment initiation is a separate, opt-in service — see section 5a.
  • We never see your banking credentials. You authenticate directly with your bank, on your bank's own systems.
  • Access is provided through Iris Solutions AD (Айрис Солюшънс АД), a licensed Account Information Service Provider authorised under PSD2 and supervised by the Bulgarian National Bank. When you connect an account, you also accept Iris Solutions' own terms, which are presented to you during the connection flow. Iris Solutions is the regulated party providing account access; Autonify is not itself a licensed payment institution and does not act under its own PSD2 authorisation — neither for account access nor for payment initiation.
  • Consent expires. Bank access consents are time-limited (typically 90–180 days, set by your bank). When a consent expires, transaction import stops until you reconnect. We will remind you before this happens, but keeping connections active is your responsibility.
  • You may disconnect at any time from Settings → Bank connections.

5a. Payment initiation

Beyond the read-only access in section 5, Autonify can initiate payments from your bank account. This is a separate service and it is opt-in: it stays off until you switch it on yourself.

  • What Autonify does. On your instruction we prepare a payment order — beneficiary, IBAN, amount, currency and reference — from the data in your account (an НАП obligation, a supplier invoice, a net wage) and submit it to your bank. The beneficiary IBAN is never guessed or defaulted: an order is only prepared where the obligation or document already carries a confirmed IBAN.
  • What you do. You authorise the payment with your own bank, using strong customer authentication (SCA), on your bank's systems. Nothing leaves your account without that authorisation. Your banking credentials remain invisible to us, and before you authorise, your bank shows you the order exactly as it received it.
  • One authorisation can cover more than one payment. That is where the convenience lies: instead of instructing every obligation by hand, you give your bank a consent under which Autonify submits the subsequent orders — for example НАП obligations on their due date, and supplier and wage payments on a day of the month you choose. The scope of that consent — which payments, for what period, up to what amount — is set by your bank and by what you authorised. We submit only orders that fall within it.
  • The review stays yours. The payment is your payment. You must check what you are authorising — beneficiary, amount, reference and due date — and follow up on the result. With automatic payments the review moves earlier in time: you approve the scope up front, so it is your responsibility to watch what falls inside it. Every initiated payment is recorded in the application together with its status.
  • You switch it on, and you switch it off. Automatic payments are managed from Settings → Autopilot → Automatic payments. The consent given to your bank can be withdrawn at any time, directly with the bank. Switching it off stops future orders; it does not undo a payment already authorised and executed.
  • Who holds the licence. Payment initiation is a payment service within the meaning of PSD2 (in Bulgaria, the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act). Autonify is not a licensed payment institution and does not act under its own authorisation. The order is submitted through a licensed payment initiation service provider (PISP) — Iris Solutions AD, and execution of the transfer remains entirely with your bank. The provider serving your account is identified in the application before you switch the feature on, and you accept its terms alongside these.
  • We do not hold your money. At no point do funds pass through, or sit in, an Autonify account. They move only from your account to the beneficiary's.
  • The feature may be unavailable. Payment initiation may be switched off — entirely, for particular banks, or temporarily, including until the necessary contractual and regulatory conditions are met. While it is off, no Pay buttons are shown in the application and the reason is stated.

6. Data accuracy and availability

Bank data is supplied by your bank through its open banking interface. We do not control it. Banks may be unavailable, may return incomplete or delayed data, or may change their interfaces without notice.

We do not guarantee that imported data is complete, timely, or accurate, and we are not liable for consequences arising from bank-side errors, outages, or omissions. You should reconcile Autonify's records against your bank statements.

6a. Automated actions taken on your behalf

Autonify can act for you: post documents to the ledger, prepare and submit declarations to the NRA, send reminders and invoices, and - where you have switched that feature on - initiate payments from your bank account (section 5a). Every such action happens only because you authorised it, and every such action remains your action.

  • You remain the obliged person. A declaration submitted through Autonify is your declaration. An invoice issued through Autonify is your invoice. A payment initiated through Autonify and authorised by you with your bank is your payment. Your responsibility to the NRA, to your counterparties and to any other authority is unchanged by the fact that the step was automated.
  • The review is yours. We show you what is about to be done before we do it, and we keep a record of it afterwards; for payments, the order itself is shown to you by your bank before you authorise it. You must check the result - amounts, periods, recipients - both before and after it is sent.
  • You can switch any automation off at any time in Settings. Switching it off does not undo actions already taken.
  • We do not guarantee that an automated action will happen on time. An outage here, at a bank, at the NRA or at a supplier can delay or prevent it. Meeting statutory deadlines remains your responsibility; the deadlines we display are an aid, not a guarantee.

7. Fees

Subscription fees, billing periods, and any free trial are as described on our pricing page at the time you subscribe. Fees are stated in euro (EUR) and are exclusive of VAT. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; changes do not affect your current billing period.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • connect a bank account you are not authorised to access;
  • initiate a payment from an account you are not authorised to operate;
  • use Autonify for any unlawful purpose, including tax evasion, fraud, or money laundering;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or to circumvent security controls;
  • reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the service without our written agreement;
  • upload malware or otherwise interfere with the service's operation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

9. Intellectual property

Autonify, its software, and its content remain our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the duration of your subscription.

Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the invoices, transactions, or records you upload or import. You may export them at any time.

9a. Application programming interface (API)

If you create an API key, the following also applies to it.

What it is for. A key is bound to one company and exists so you can connect your own software — or the software of a client whose books you keep — to Autonify. You may build and maintain such an integration, including through a contractor working on your behalf.

What it is not for. You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the API available — or any data or output obtained through it — as a service to third parties. Specifically, you may not:

  • offer the API, in whole or in part, as your own service, product or feature to other people's customers;
  • act as an intermediary between Autonify and people who have no agreement with us, including through a shared key, a shared account, or a wrapper over our API;
  • use Autonify's document reading, classification or any other processing to handle documents belonging to anyone outside the company the key was issued for;
  • work around the limits, whether with several keys, several accounts, or otherwise.

Limits and suspension. Usage is measured in units rather than in request counts; the current figures are in the documentation and on the keys screen. If the above is breached, we may suspend an individual key or API access immediately and without notice. Your access to the application itself, and to your own data, is unaffected.

Responsibility for the integration. Your integration is yours. A document issued through the API with your data is your document, including when it is wrong. Autonify is answerable for correctly carrying out what the API was given, not for what you gave it.

9b. Automated access to the application

What your account is for. Your account exists so that you — or the people you have given seats to — can operate your own books, and, if you keep accounts professionally, the books of clients who have engaged you. That is what the licence in section 9 covers, whether you work through the application's screens, through the export functions, or through the API under section 9a.

What it is not for. The application's interface — its screens, layout, wording, structure and the way it guides work — is our material, not part of your records. Except where section 9 or the paragraph below expressly allows it, you may not:

  • run automated software over the application to read, collect, transcribe or index its screens, whether by a crawler, a script, a headless browser or an AI agent acting on your instructions;
  • systematically reproduce the interface, or a substantial part of it, in another product, a dataset, a training corpus, or a public description of how the product works;
  • use access obtained through your account to obtain the application's content on behalf of someone who has no agreement with us.

What this does not restrict. This section is about the interface, and only the interface. It does not restrict:

  • your own data, which remains yours under section 9 — exporting it, automating your own export, or reading it through the API is expressly not covered;
  • assistive and personal tooling you run for yourself, including screen readers, accessibility software, password managers and browser extensions;
  • our public material — the marketing site, the API documentation and these legal documents, which are open and intended to be read, indexed and summarised, including by AI systems;
  • anything a mandatory rule of law permits regardless of agreement, including the acts reserved to a lawful user of a computer program and the interoperability provisions of the Bulgarian Copyright and Related Rights Act (чл. 70–71 ЗАПСП).

How we enforce it. We use technical measures on the application host, which may include refusing requests from clients that identify themselves as crawlers or automated agents, and asking a session to confirm its password when its behaviour does not look like a person working. These measures are imperfect and may occasionally interrupt legitimate use — a busy practice moving quickly between many clients is the obvious case. If that happens to you, tell us at support@autonify.bg and we will put it right; being caught by one of these measures is not itself treated as a breach. Where the use is deliberate and continues, section 12 applies.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Autonify available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and third-party providers (banks, Iris Solutions, our hosting provider) may cause outages outside our control.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Bulgarian law:

  • Autonify is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • We are not liable for tax penalties, interest, fines, or losses arising from errors in your accounting records or filings, including where those errors originate in Autonify's automated outputs. Verification is your responsibility.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, or data.
  • Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not permit to be excluded or limited in advance. In particular, under Article 94 of the Bulgarian Obligations and Contracts Act (чл. 94 ЗЗД), any agreement excluding or limiting a debtor's liability in advance for intent or gross negligence is void; in such a case the limitations above do not apply. Intent includes fraud. The same holds for liability for harm to life and health, and for any liability whose exclusion a mandatory rule of law does not permit — including consumer law, to the extent it turns out to apply.

12. Termination

You may cancel at any time; your subscription runs to the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach, on notice where practicable.

On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which we delete it, subject to statutory retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Varna, Bulgaria — the seat of the company — save where a mandatory rule of law provides for a different venue.
